    As per the Uttar Pradesh government figures, the state saw a 87% increase in domestic and foreign tourists, primarily due to the Kumbh held in Prayagraj last year. Over 54 cr tourists came to UP last year compared to about 29 lakh in 2018, the data show. Foreign tourists increased by almost 25% to 47 lakh last year. About 24 cr tourists visited the Kumbh.
