    In December 2018, it was announced that GSK Consumer Healthcare will merge with HUL an all-stock deal, valuing the Indian unit of GSK at Rs 31,700 crore. With all the approvals in place, GSK's legal entity in India will cease to exist this month or early May and HUL has retained all of GSK's 3,500-odd employees in India.
