The panel also met several health and health-tech companies. The committee has sent a list of questions to Amazon, Flipkart and other ecommerce companies, and it expects answers to these during next week’s meeting.

    Facebook's messaging platform alleged that the Israeli NSO Group targeted some 1,400 users. While WhatsApp declined to reveal the identities and exact number of those targeted for surveillance in India, its spokesperson confirmed that the it was aware of those targeted and had contacted each one of them. The NSO Group said it disputes the allegations and will vigorously fight them.
