Addressing the national executive meeting of all BJP fronts at the Centre and state units, Modi said the party rank and file should not strive to serve any political dynasty or family.

Sources said Yeddyurappa also wanted Karandlaje to contest so that in case there he becomes chief minister and there is an attempt within BJP to dislodge him, he can forward her name as a replacement.
While BJP attributed the initial move at dissuading Misra from giving a verdict in the Ayodhya dispute, finance minister Arun Jaitley termed the move as a revenge petition.
The Congress cried foul, saying the RS chairperson is not supposed to act in a “quasi-judicial capacity” and that it would approach the Supreme Court against Naidu’s order.
