Rugged design and premium features

Maruti Suzuki has launched the S-Presso mini SUV in India at a starting price of Rs 3.69 lakh, with the top variant priced at Rs 4.91 lakh (ex-showroom).
With 98% localisation, the product has been built with an investment of Rs 640 crore. It has been derived from the Future S concept displayed at the Auto Expo 2018.
The SUV gets a rugged design and premium features and being a compact model, brings freshness in the category, claims the automaker.

With more than 10 safety features including the fifth-generation Heartect platform, Maruti Suzuki clalims this car is the best-in-class safe model, as it comes with BS-VI emission norm compliant powertrain.

Available in six different exterior colour options, Maruti Suzuki S Presso comes in an aggressive blacked-out front fascia, a chunky bumper, while the sporty-looking wheels and a compact yet sculpted side profile boosts the appeal of the car, claims Marut Suzuki. Moving to the back, it gets compact taillights.

The car also comes with two different customisation packages- Expedition and Energetic.

Inside the cabin, Maruti Suzuki claims that it gets high seating stance, easy ingress and outguess for passengers alongside offering best-in-class space to the second-row occupants. The SUV has a turning radius of 4.5 metres.

For power source, the SUV gets a 1.0-litre K10 engine that complies to the upcoming BS-VI emission norms and available with both manual transmission and AGS. The engine churns out 68 PS of power and 90 Nm of torque. It also delivers 21.7 kmpl of mileage in the Vxi and Vxi+ trims, while the Std and Lxi trims offer 21.4 kmpl of fuel efficiency, as Maruti Suzuki claims.

Maruti's BS-VI compliant cars expand

With the S-Presso launched, the automaker now has eight BS-VI compliant cars in its portfolio.
The company also informed that besides selling the SUV in the domestic market, it will be exported to Latin America, Africa and ASEAN countries as well.
