Lucas TVS to use AI tools to ensure social distancing at workplace

The tool, named Trust AI, uses neural network models and mathematical models to analyse live video feed automatically to monitor social distancing at the workplace. It issues an alert at the control centre and the public address system when any person fails to maintain the required distance from another person, said the company in a press release.

Bengaluru: Lucas TVS, an automotive component manufacturer, will use artificial intelligence (AI) based tools of BLP Industry.AI to ensure social distancing at the workplace.

The TVS Group company said it would use such tools to monitor how employees are following social distancing guidelines in order to maintain a safe environment.

The tool, named Trust AI, uses neural network models and mathematical models to analyse live video feed automatically to monitor social distancing at the workplace. It issues an alert at the control centre and the public address system when any person fails to maintain the required distance from another person, said the company in a press release.

While the neural network model identifies the people; other algorithms calculate the distance between the people. The tool uses footage from existing IP and CCTV cameras.
