New Delhi: NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant on Monday stressed on the need for a clear ten-year road map to boost clean energy technologies and creating standards for innovations.

Kant also called hydrogen as fuel of the future especially for commercial vehicles which can ensure efficiency in movement across the country.

Speaking at the India Energy Forum by CERAWeek, Kant said, "We should provide 10-year roadmap on where we want to be in clean (energy) technology. We should provide policy clarity to innovation stakeholders because a lot of innovation will keep happening as we go along."

Developing countries like India need to create standards for new technologies which sometimes become a hurdle for Indian entrepreneurs to disrupt the global market with local innovation, Kant said.

India should focus on strengthening standards and certification infrastructure, he added.

Kant also showcased India's ambitious target of having 450GW of renewable energy by 2030 at the international forum.

About the role of traditional energy, he said, "Our belief is that hydrogen is an area where traditional energy companies can be a game changers given the similarities in the engineering needs of oil and gas and hydrogen processing technology."

Traditional or conventional energy companies are looking at hydrogen and biofuels these days.

"This is an opportunity for them. My belief is that hydrogen is going to be future particularly for movement of commercial vehicles. Hydrogen will bring in efficiency in movement from city to city," Kant said.

Drastically Reducing the Air Pollution, Heat and CO2 Emission from our Energy Hungry and Polluting Automobiles is about reducing the huge wastage of Energy, by getting Rid of those Energy Wasting Friction Brakes!, especially in our Stop-and-Go City Traffic.
Our Automobiles made a Huge Energy Mistake right from their creation more than a century and half ago, of not recovering their Kinetic Energy while braking and using that same Energy for powering their next Acceleration, and instead wasting away all that Kinetic Energy as Heat in those Friction Brakes and then stupidly using a lot of New Energy, Engine Power and Fuel for their Next Acceleration. This Simple Energy Mistake has unfortunately remained till date in all our Automobiles even after a Century of Motoring and many Oil Crisis and Wars, as well as this huge Air Pollution, Climate change and Global Warming; but is sadly being repeated even in the Electric, Hybrid and Hydrogen vehicles, with even the Latest of these Green Cars still using those Energy Wasting Friction Brakes!, ..that too on all 4 wheels!.
A Drastic Reduction in Energy, Fuel and Emission is possible, by getting rid of their Energy Wasting Friction Brakes and using a Simple Energy Mechanism for the Recovery of most of their Kinetic Energy while Braking, and reusing that same Energy (Stored in a Transmission) for powering the Next Acceleration!, ..just like in a pull-back Toy Car. ..Trrrr (Braking), ..Vroom (= Free Acceleration!).

But Kant can't shunt real intention. Which hydrogen technology you have mastered ? Is there logic in justifying 10 percent similarities between oil and gas technology and hydrogen to justify more investment in the former.? Tell me what will you do to mop up already accumulated massive CO2 load. Preventing further global warming is not our goal .We just want to reverse .Although Earth is floating in outer space with temp of 6 digree Kelvin,we are unable to cool the Earth by night time heat loss by radiation due to heat trapping CO2 blanket and massive emmision of Dust due to excessive greed satisfying human activity. Natural icecream can be produced in a desert if the night sky is clear.

Yes, yes and yes. We should have road map. Policy clarity. But that is your job Mr Kant. What is holding you and NITI Aayog back?
