Foreign labels like Victoria’s Secret, Laduree to debut as the stores in India

Japan’s largest fashion retailer, Uniqlo, is also scouting for mall space in Mumbai this year, to expand beyond the six outlets it has in Delhi NCR.

Major Brands, the franchisee operator of labels including Charles & Keith, Aldo and Bath & Body Works, has been in talks with various malls for Victoria’s Secret stores, said executives at shopping centres.

New Delhi: Victoria’s Secret and Laduree are among the global brands that could soon make their brick-and-mortar debut in India, after having been forced to postpone plans to open in 2020, largely due to the pandemic. Others such as Ikea and Uniqlo are looking to expand their retail footprint across India this year. And Apple may roll out its first company-owned outlet later this year or early next year.
