Flying out on a getaway this Holi weekend becomes cheaper

There's good news for those planning to make the most out of the Holi weekend. Top airlines like IndiGo and Vistara are offering discounted fares as part of their Holi offers.

IndiGo is offering discounted fares starting at Rs 899 for the long weekend starting tomorrow, till Holi on Monday. "Book tickets till 15 Mar 2017, for travel till 19 Sept 2017," said a Twitter ad from the airline.

The fares are valid for routes such as Bagdogra-Guwahati, Srinagar-Jammu, Delhi-Lucknow, Delhi-Chandigarh, Delhi-Bengaluru and Delhi-Goa.

Vistara, the joint venture carrier betwen Tata Sons and Vistara, earlier in the day, announced fares as low as Rs 999. Booking dates are between March 10 and March 17 for travel between March 30 till October 1.

The discounts are valid on flights to destinations such as Goa, Port Blair, Leh (Ladakh), Jammu, Srinagar, Kochi, Guwahati, Amritsar, Bhubaneswar, as well as big city destinations such as Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

"This Holi sale offers travellers an exciting opportunity to 'fly the new feeling' with Vistara that has brought the exalted standards of Tata and Singapore Airlines to Indian aviation," said a release from the company.
