HTC takes on Samsung, Apple with 4G device M9, priced at Rs 52,250

HTC has also launched its One E9+ phablet in the country, which would be available in May. The company hasn’t disclosed the price of this device.

NEW DELHI: Smartphone major HTC Tuesday launched its latest flagship device One M9+ and priced it at Rs 52,250, positioning it against Samsung's flagship Galaxy S6 and Apple iPhone 6 in the country.

The latest smartphone features a 5.2-inch QHD display with QHD and is powered by a 2.2GHz MediaTek MT6795T (Helio X) octa-core processor and 3GB RAM. It runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system with HTC's Sense UI 7 skin running on top.

The multi-mode smartphone supports both FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE technologies. It also supports 3G, Bluetooth, NFC and Infrared connectivity options and has a 2,840mAh battery.

The device comes with a 32GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot. Interestingly, the device also features a physical Home button that also works as fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

On the camera front, the device features a 20MP rear camera and an UltraPixel front-facing camera for selfies.

HTC has also launched its One E9+ phablet in the country, which would be available in May. The company hasn’t disclosed the price of this device.

The phablet features a 5.5-inch screen with Gorilla Glass 4 protection and Android 5.0-based Sense 7 UI. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor and 2GB RAM and has 32GB internal storage and supports up to 128GB microSD cards.

HTC One E9+ comes with a 20MP camera and 4MP UltraPixel camera in front. The company also unveiled its entry-level Desire 326G device.
