AirPods aren’t really the easiest Apple product to like: they look slightly strange and there is a sense of trepidation about losing them. Yet they are the world’s most popular in-ear headphones. Once you have used them, it is hard to get used to other wireless earbuds — especially if you are entrenched in the Apple ecosystem. Apple has now come out with a Pro variant of the AirPods.

AirPods Pro offer the same golf-tee design and have an uncanny resemblance to Charlie Brown’s dog Snoopy. But their stem is shorter than regular AirPods. They are also snug, comfortable and do not fall off at all. Apple has added a feature called EarTip test which tells you now which size is best for your ears. The silicone tips come in three sizes and you can choose the best fit after doing an eartip test on your iPhone.

AirPods Pro get connected to an iPhone in a jiffy. Even on an Android phone, they do not take much time. It is an area where Apple continues to hold an edge over rivals such as Bose, Sony and Jabra.

Once you have connected the AirPods Pro, their active noise-cancellation tech kicks in and works well. We tried the noise-cancellation in almost every scenario: the Delhi Metro, on an airplane, a cacophonous busy market and nothing gets through the AirPods Pro.

If you are not a fan of completely blocking out the noise, Apple has a Transparency mode, which lets in some ambient sounds.

The AirPods Pro are powered by an H1 chip and deliver great audio quality.

We played Simon and Garfunkel’s The Sound of Silence to test the audio. In one ear, we could hear Paul Simon and on the other Art Garfunkel. Every note and vocals were crystal clear. We also tried other music genres and were satisfied.

AirPods Pro offer 4.5 hours of battery life and lasts for 24 hours. It comes with a charging case.

The new AirPods are worthy of the ‘Pro’ tag, though many buyers may find the price tag too steep.

Back when Apple announced iOS 13 at the last WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference), probably no Apple user had expected so many bugs and issues to creep into their phones. Apple delivered most of the features it had promised with iOS 13.2 which was rolled out on October 30.

However, to fix the problems that users are facing, Apple has released iOS 13.3 to those who had signed up for beta testing. Reportedly, iOS 13.3 has fixed quite a few bugs, including the one which is being dubbed as the most ‘annoying’ problem till date.
