Ajay Devgn's 'Tanhaji' heads for Rs 200 cr-mark after smashing weekend, becomes Saif Ali Khan's highest-grossing film
The film earned Rs 150 crore on the 10th day after its release.
According to film critic and analyst, Taran Adarsh, the Om Raut-directorial has already surpassed the lifetime business of 'Total Dhamaal'. It is Devgn’s second-highest grossing film after Rohit Shetty-directorial 'Golmaal Again'. Furthermore, the historical drama is now actors Kajol and Saif Ali Khan's highest-grossing film.

In another tweet, Adarsh said that the film was a 'blockbuster in Maharashtra'. He also predicted that the movie will cross the Rs 200 crore-mark on its third week. It will be the second double century of the year after Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer 'Good Newwz'.

The film, which also happens to be Devgn's 100th film as an actor, entered the Rs 100-crore mark in just six days after opening countrywide on January 10.

Set in the 17th century, the movie is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, the military leader of Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's army.
Tanhaji played an instrumental role in taking back the strategic hill fortress of Kondhana from the Mughal empire.
Produced by Devgn's ADF and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, the film also features Saif Ali Khan as Udaybhan Singh Rathore, Kajol as Savitribai Malusare and Sharad Kelkar as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
