NEW DELHI: An 87-year-old fan of Team India, who won Virat Kohli's heart, has won more hearts. And, this time it is none other than Anand Mahindra, who has been fairy active on Twitter for a while now.

The Mahindra Group Chairman believes that Charulata Patel is Team India's lucky charm, thanks to her enthusiasm and passion.

While appreciating India's nail-biting and dramatic victory over Bangladesh on Tuesday's World Cup match in Birmingham, the business honcho urged the winning team on Twitter to ensure that the 'match-winning lady' is present at the semi-finals and finals.

Furthermore, when one of his many followers asked Mahindra if he would like to sponsor Patel, the 64-year-old tycoon promised to reimburse her ticket costs for the rest of the India matches.

Mahindra was not the only one. Hours after India trumped Bangladesh, Amul, too, showed some topical love. The butter brand, famous for its quirky takes on current affairs and personalities in the news, had a creative titled, "Grandmother India".

Now, that's some high-profile fandom growing for Patel.
