NEW DELHI: Tuesday morning started on a nostalgic note for veteran actor Anupam Kher. He took to Twitter to share a three-decade-old picture from the sets of Yash Chopra's 1988 film 'Vijay'.

The black-and-white image shows superstars Anil Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Hema Malini, Meenakshi Sheshadri, and late actor Rajesh Khanna and late director Yash Chopra in the same frame.

The 64-year-old actor revealed that he played the role of dream girl's father, Khanna's father-in-law, and Rishi and Anil's grandfather when he was just 33 at that time. He also said that the role was originally offered to Dilip Kumar.

On the professional front, Kher is shooting for the American drama series 'New Amsterdam' in New York. He was recently seen in the film 'Hotel Mumbai', based on the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
