Kohler Co, the leading global manufacturer of kitchen and bathware, returned with a special edition of the Kohler Bold Art event powered by Pecha Kucha on August 30, 2019 in Mumbai. Some of the greatest minds in arts, architecture and design community offered their views on the topic ‘Great Design: Method or Madness’. Hosting some of the most creative people from the field of architecture and design, Kohler India has organised these events for almost six years. Yet again, the event was, in every sense of the word, a ‘creative’ one.

Renowned experts from the industry including Jimmy Lim, Rahul Kadri, Rajiv Parekh, Richa Bahl, Sanjay Puri and Shobhan Kothari expressed their views on the topic in signature Pecha Kucha style.

Pecha Kucha , which means ‘chit chat’, is a unique presentation format in which the speaker shows 20 images and can speak about them only for 20 seconds each. The brevity of the format forces the speakers to find creative ways to communicate their views on the topic, which usually initiates an interesting dialogue between the speaker and the audience.

Commenting on the event, Salil Sadanandan, president, Kohler K& B India, Middle East and Sub Saharan Africa, said “Kohler stands for leading edge design and technology and Pecha Kucha provides an exceptional platform that helps us build a great relationship with the design fraternity. With this edition, we aim to spearhead great conversations around the origin of great design — Madness or Method amongst leading architects.”
