Bar Launcher & SMS scheduler Fresh: Apps to enhance your Android
Ever thought of sending a message later in the day and ended up completely forgetting about it? You should check out a free Android app called Fresh.
On your Android smartphone, there are probably a few apps that are accessed more than others. You could always choose to place widgets for these apps on the home screen for quick access but they can clutter up and slow down some devices.
With the free Bar Launcher, however, you can launch your most-used apps right from the notification bar. All you need to do is launch the app, select the apps you want from the list and they will automatically get added in the notification bar (in a single row). You can have a maximum of eight apps in a row and also add additional icon rows to the notification bar.
We could add more than 10 rows of apps without slowing the device down. You can also change the priority of the row of icons in the notification bar so that it remains on top or moves down as other notifications arrive. It needs no special permissions and is less than 400kb in size.
SMS Scheduler — Fresh for Android
Ever thought of sending a message to someone later in the day and ended up completely forgetting about it? You should check out a free Android app called SMS Scheduler — Fresh SMS. Fresh lets you schedule an SMS using a clean and simple interface.
Tap on the large plus sign on the top right of the window and it opens the scheduling page. You can add a recipient, enter the message you want to send and then choose the date and time at which the SMS has to be sent. You can also compose an SMS and schedule it to be repeated every day, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or yearly.
If you like, you can have the app remind you (prior to sending) so that you can modify the SMS if need be. Once done, scheduled SMS are visible on the main page of Fresh SMS’s interface. The app also lets you schedule a quick SMS that will be sent after a preset time period (up to 90 minutes) in the same manner.
