Makeup mogul Bobbi Brown on what being healthy means to her.

Body
“For me, strong is beautiful. It’s also empowering. A strong body comes in many shapes and sizes. It’s not just that one pencil-thin look that you see on the runway. It celebrates muscles and curves, not just skinniness. I try to exercise every day. I love walking and always try to get in at least 10,000 steps a day. I also love yoga and taking a class on my Peloton bike. For me, it’s easiest to work out in the morning, before I head to the office. I just ordered my Peloton Tread and I can’t wait. I love the bike classes so much and I’m looking forward to start their new treadmill workouts. If I could pick any opponent at any sport, I would pick volleyball player Gabrielle (Gabby) Reece or boxer Laila Ali. They are both powerful, strong and confident. I know they would push me to work hard.

Soul
“I feel the best when I’m spending time with my husband and kids in the Bahamas. It’s my happy place and I immediately feel calm when I get there.”

Mind matters
“It is so important to have open and honest conversations about mental health to end the stigma. Many people are dealing with anxiety, depression and other issues on a daily basis.”

Diet
“Moderation is key. We all overdo it sometimes, but I try to eat a lot of vegetables and lean proteins. I drink water like it’s my job. It’s so important for your body and for your skin. I often turn to my chocolate protein powder for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. It nourishes my body and brain and leaves me feeling energised and satisfied. It’s all about the right balance of fat, protein, and fibre to keep your brain sharp.”
