Dhoni donates Rs 1 lakh to fight Covid-19, faces the wrath of Twitter; netizens say ‘his net worth is Rs 800 cr’
The cricket maestro faced the ire of netizens.
Dhoni had donated the money via a crowdfunding website Ketto, to the Mukul Madhav Foundation, a public charitable trust, in Pune. While several netizens praised Dhoni for his much-needed contribution, some members of the Twitterati were of the opinion that Rs 1 lakh is too small an amount and that the 38-year-old cricketer could have donated more.

The comparison of Dhoni’s donation with that of cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, both of whom have donated Rs 50 lakh each, didn’t help Dhoni’s cause.
This user was quick to point out that the cricketer’s net worth is approximately Rs 800 cr.
