If you need some travel inspiration this holiday season, take a leaf out of Neerja Bhatia’s book. The VP-Indian Sub-continent, Etihad Airways shares her top five holiday destinations, divulging what she loves best about these global cities.

Budapest: One of my favorite destinations is Budapest, which I visited a year ago as it has a history with a compelling story. The cruise dinner on the river Danube gives a glimpse of the beautiful architecture and history behind every monument, castle and bridge.

Melbourne: This city holds an important place for me as my sons are based out of Melbourne. The cultural diversity, street art and the Great Ocean drive makes me want to visit it frequently.

Phuket: Beaches have always been the go to spot for me to unwind and relax, I enjoy my trip to Phuket since it has the most exquisite beaches along with my favorite cuisine – Thai food.

Toronto: The highlight of my trip to Toronto were the snow-laden Christmas trees. Witnessing the snowfall was one of the most beautiful sights to watch recently. Most importantly, its where my sister lives and I love our ‘shop and talk’ trips

London: Every time I visit London I come back with an extra luggage because of the amount of shopping done.
