Lagerfeld was best known for his unique style - dark suits, white pony-tail, and tinted sunglasses.

The Father of Fashion was the creative director of the French luxury fashion house, Chanel, and Italian fashion house, Fendi.

He had missed two of Chanel's haute couture shows in Paris on January 22. He looked increasingly frail in recent seasons, and did not come out to take a bow at the house's couture collections in Paris. At the time, the fashion company only said that he was feeling tired.
