BENGALURU: The first OnePlus TV will be an Android device loaded with Google Assistant, Chromecast built-in and Google Play, the company announced on Saturday.
"Google has been strategic to us in India since the beginning, furthering our efforts towards our goal.
"We believe that with our combined expertise, we can move ever closer to improve the human experience through simplicity, efficiency, and intelligent functionality," said Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, OnePlus India.
According to OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, India would be the first market to get the OnePlus TV because the company has great relations with the content providers in the country.
"We have always had a very positive relationship with content providers in India, who have always been willing to partner with us, which guarantees great content for our users," he said recently.
OnePlus TV would be available on Amazon.in.
"We are also working hard to launch OnePlus TV in North America, Europe and China regions as soon as we establish partnerships with most of local and regional content providers," Lau added.
