The developers (Pixo) have devised a plan. You start by choosing a topic to focus on and then spend 25 minutes working on that without any distractions. You take a 5 minute break after every cycle (25 minutes) and a 25 minute break after every four cycles (100 minutes).
Do whatever you want during those breaks but keep the focus sessions sacrosanct. It guides you with a countdown and the sound of a ticking clock. For some strange reason, it really does help you focus on the task at hand. You can tweak settings to suit your goals: alter the length of any session, change colours, sounds and alarms.
