Ed-tech entrepreneur Byju Raveendran knows how to keep his largely millennial workforce happy. His answer: international sports tournaments.

Last year, Raveendran’s company, Byju’s, took a hundred of its top performers to Russia for the football World Cup. And this year, star employees cheered on the Men in Blue at the highly-anticipated India-Pakistan match in England. “Trips like these offer a massive boost to employee morale and confidence,” Raveendran said.

According to the Byju’s founder, millennial employees primarily seek two things: instant gratification and constant feedback. “This generation wants to rectify, modify and improve themselves on real-time basis. Appreciating their work and giving them due credit drives them to perform well,” he said.

During the recent trip to London, almost 70 per cent of the top performers were under 25.
