September is a busy month in the tech world. Ahead of Apple's annual event where it will unveil its new iPhone line-up, IFA - Europe's largest consumer tech conference, kicked-off in Berlin.

The event (full form: Internationale Funkausstellung) will host about 1,800 companies from 50 nations.

Tracing its origins back to 1924, the annual exhibition sees tech giants showcase highly-anticipated devices.

Here's a look at the phones from the event.

LG Electronics Inc. introduced its new flagship smartphone with a dual-screen at the tech event. Targetting the audience for foldable devices, the Korean electronics maker did its own take by adding a screen to the phone instead of working on one that folds.

The device comes with a 6.4-inch display with a waterdrop cut out and dual rear cameras. The detachable second display has a cover screen on the back to show the date and time. It runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 processor and has a 4,000mAh battery.

The phone is also features the company's first in-screen fingerprint recognition.

With both the screens attached, the phone weighs 326 grams, heavier than Galaxy Fold's 276 grams.

It's round 2 for Samsung's ambitious Galaxy Fold smartphone. The Korean tech giant took the wraps off its revamped Galaxy Fold device, that comes with a price tag of nearly $2,000, at the event.

The release of the phone was originally pushed back by months over durability issues discovered by early reviewers.

The smartphone comes with a 7.3-inch display that becomes a 4.6-inch screen when folded. It is 6.9 mm in thickness when unfolded and 17 mm thick when folded.

The premium smartphone packs a next-generation AP chipset and 12 gigabytes of RAM, as well as six cameras. It has gone on sale in South Korea, and is expected to start rolling out in other markets soon.
