INOX's new 11-screen Megaplex wants to change how Mumbai experiences films

INOX Megaplex offers the maximum number of movie viewing formats and experiences at Inorbit Mall in Mumbai.

What is Megaplex all about?
We have launched our biggest offering till date, Megaplex, an 11-screen theatre in Mumbai’s Inorbit Mall at Malad. Built over 60,000 square feet with a total capacity of 1,586 seats and capability to screen 60 shows, this is Mumbai’s biggest multiplex offering till date.

What is new for audiences?
Megaplex offers an attractive mix of internationally acclaimed and INOX’s homegrown formats. The luxurious INSIGNIA — our seven-star luxury experience — the frolicsome Kiddles — a unique format for youngsters — the adventurous MX4D, the enthralling ScreenX, the refined Samsung ONYX LED screen and the immersive IMAX complete the longest lineup of cinema-viewing formats in the world.

What are the food choices?
Megaplex is a destination for F&B concepts as the menu possesses cuisines ranging from Indian, Lebanese, American, Oriental, Italian and Thai. From in-cinema fine-dining experience at INSIGNIA serviced by a live kitchen, to the Onyx Diner — India’s first single-serve buffet spread in a multiplex, or Café Unwind, which serves freshly brewed coffee, detox juices, burgers, sandwiches and waffles — there are choices galore. The gourmet offering has more than 12 cuisines and around 250 preparations to choose from.

What is special about the design?
As an architectural masterpiece in the cinema space, Megaplex lays a perfect example of encapsulating a remarkable design diversity while revolving around its festive and exuberant feel, neatly stitching together its five expansive lobbies. The Art Deco-inspired interiors with ample open spaces exude warmth and offer a delightful experience to movie buffs as they walk in.

Why in Mumbai? What is your vision for the future?
Given that Bollywood resides in the city, it is possible for filmmakers to come and experience the various viewing formats available and the opportunities to create cutting-edge content. The Megaplex is also a good opportunity for advertisers to have better engagement with patrons. The launch of Megaplex is a strategic milestone as it paves the way for more such large-format, experience-driven entertainment destinations.
