The odd gang is back, but this time the game has changed . Like most popular sequels, 'Jumanji: The Next Level' attempts to cash in on the franchise’s popularity with some tweaks in the characters and an identical plot. It still manages to hold the audience’s attention with its intensity and entertainment. A couple of years after the adventures of 'Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle', the gang of friends have moved on in the real world.

While Martha (Gillan), Bethany (Iseman) and Fridge (Hart) have found their own identities, Spencer (Alex Wolff) is struggling with his life and relationship. When the friends discover that Spencer, who kept the broken Jumanji game, had gone back in, they return to the dangerous world to save their friend. This time, Spencer’s grandfather (Danny DeVito) and his friend Milo (Danny Glover) are also sucked into the game. Eddie (Johnson) and his friends waste no time to find their groove again in the game world.

But the twist here is that the human characters don’t end up as the same gaming characters as they did the last time. This makes the plot more entertaining. In the unpredictably dangerous world of Jumanji, Johnson and Hart make a great pair once again. DeVito and Glover add a new subplot and depth to the story.

'Jumanji: The Next Level' is mostly enjoyable for its blend of characters, along with the sequence of events that throw them to unique places and circumstances. The players must brave the unknown coming their way while traversing deserts, mountains and forests, to pass through the world’s most dangerous game.
