NEW DELHI: Actor Ranveer Singh's new social media post is here to drive your Monday blues away. For Kapil Dev's biopic ''83', the 34-year-old actor posted a picture of himself perfecting the cricket stalwart's famous 'Natraj Shot' from the match that won India the 1983 World Cup.

And, the former World-Cup winning Team India captain is all praise for the 'Gully Boy' actor. Dev retweeted Singh's post, and wrote, "Hats off Ranveer!".

Singh is playing the lead role in the Kabir Khan-directorial.

In May, the actor had introduced the 'Kapil's Devils', and since then his social media posts have become the talk of the town. He was earlier seen jotting down notes from the ace cricketer at his residence in London to take tips in becoming the Haryana Hurricane. He also met with several cricket stars after that.

Singh's actress-wife Deepika Padukone will essay the role of Dev's better-half, Romi Bhatia.

The film will also feature R Badree, Hardy Sandhu, Chirag Patil, Saqib Saleem, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Bhasin, Ammy Virk, and Saahil Khattar as the Men in Blue.

Helmed by Kabir Khan, the movie is slated to release on April 10 next year.
