Kapil Sharma faces Twitter ire for defending Sidhu; #BoycottKapilSharma trends
Fans are threatening to unsubscribe from the channel if the comedian is not sacked.
Reacting to Sidhu's ouster from the show, he said, "These are very petty things, or can also be part of a propaganda. I feel banning someone or sacking Navjot Singh Sidhu from the show is not the solution. If removing Sidhuji would have been a permanent solution then he would have himself walked out of the show. We need to look for a permanent solution."
However, this did not go down well with Twitterati who is now demanding that 'Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon' actor also be sacked from the show. #BoycottKapilSharma has started trending on Twitter, with several fans slamming the comedian.

The former cricketer and the show's cast member, Sidhu had recently sparked controversy or his statement on the Pulwama carnage, when he said, “For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual? It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished.”
His comment left many upset, eventually leading to his ouster from the show.
On Feb 14, over 40 CRPF troopers lost their lives in the what was one of the worst terror attacks on the army in J&K. Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the episode.
