LS Polls: Ekta Kapoor & son rooting for Smriti; Harsh Goenka says 'unfinished agendas will get continuity'

On Twitter, India Inc captains and B-town weighed in on the results.

As the counting for the Lok Sabha Elections showed the scales dip in BJP's favour, India Inc, B-town, and sportspersons took to Twitter to share their views on the likely return of the Narendra Modi government.

Director-producer Ekta Kapoor, who gave Smriti Irani - the actress - her first big break with 'Kyuki Saas Bhi...' shared a picture of her son in front of a TV screen showing the counting saying, "All eyes on #amethi we r rooting for our aunt"

Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra lauded a 'turning point in history' saying that he wasn't talking about political parties but 'women & Young,new voters. Increasingly, they will shape India’s future'.

Industrialist Harsh Goenka said, "Resounding victory of BJP reinforces voter’s choice of their most able leader to lead the nation. Markets got off to a roaring start, reflecting sentiment of the nation. Unfinished agendas will get continuity and time to usher in prosperity and growth, both for Bharat and India."

Earlier in the day, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw summarised the results as a chance for the NDA 2.0 to focus on implementation and execution of its five-year plan that was kicked off in 2014.

Congratulating Modi, the BJP and NDA, banker Uday Kotak said that this was a "time for transformation and deep reform."

Sequoia Capital's Rajan Anandan congratulated the Prime Minister and BJP for a 'historic win', saying, "#StartupIndia looks forward to your continued support for innovation and entrepreneurship in India. #100IndiaUnicorns"

Actor Rajinikanth also took to Twitter to congratulate PM Modi on the win.

Author Chetan Bhagat reiterated his feelings, and tweet, from 5 years ago.

Adman Pritish Nandy, in his tweet, pointed out that PM Modi's win showed that despite reservations, "people of India want him back."

Singer Asha Bhosle congratulated PM Modi and the NDA saying, "The Indian electorate has voted wisely. Congratulations to Hon. PM Modi, NDA & all BJP party cadres who have worked tirelessly to take our country into a Golden Age that is long overdue. Jai Hind"

Actor Anupam Kher, whose wife Kirron is leading from Chandigarh, also tweeted.

Meanwhile former cricketer Virender Sehwag asked fans about their feelings.
