Fitness trackers are getting quite bulky, thanks to all the features we all want. It’s hard for women to use one on a daily basis, especially if one wants to use it in conjunction with an analogue watch.

With this svelte product, Mevofit aims to tap women fitness enthusiasts. They’re doing this with three features: lightweight & slim design (just 20 grams), different colour options (red, blue, black) and women-specific features (period and ovulation tracker).

The diagonal groove design on the band, curved display and slim shape are all designed to appeal to women. You need to pair it with the companion app called MevoFit Fitness Tracker app (iOS or Android) which is compatible with a range of the company’s products. The display is a single colour OLED and is quite easy to read.

To operate it requires a tap or long press of the single touch button — the entire surface is not touch sensitive. For tracking, there are the usual steps, distance, automatic sleep tracking, multiple activity/workout tracking, basic notifications and sedentary reminders. Plus as the HR in the name signifies, it also has an optical heart rate sensor.

Through the app, you can configure notifications, sedentary reminders, goals, reminders (to walk, drink water etc.), take up challenges etc. There are few rough edges with the app (it randomly crashes and quits on iOS & the store is not working) but it works for the basic part.

At the price, the band is good though and has fairly accurate tracking and 5-7 day battery. If you’re OK with spending a bit more, we also recommend the Amazfit Cor (Rs 3,999). It has a larger colour display and full touch screen in a fitness band form factor.
