Veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee's daughter Payal Dicky Sinha passes away on Thursday at the age of 45. Sinha was earlier diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes and was bed ridden in a comatose condition since 2018. She reportedly breathed her last at 2am. Chatterjee's family is yet to make a statement about the same.

The news of her demise reached B-town and actor Tusshar Kapoor took to Twitter to share condolences with the Chatterjee family.

"Saddened to hear of the demise of Payal Chatterjee! Have seen her a lot in my childhood days! Deepest condolences to Moushimi Chatterjee ji and family," he wrote.

In 2018, the 71-year-old actress and her husband had appealed to the Bombay High Court seeking their daughter's custody after her husband prevented them from meeting her. Chatterjee said in the petition that her daughter had been discharged from the hospital on April 28 and was put on home care. However, her treatment, the prescribed physiotherapy, was discontinued.

Chatterjee, popular for her contribution to Hindi and Bengali cinema, was last seen in Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 'Piku'.
