    My daddy's the best: Leander Paes participates in parents' sports day, beats other dads to win sprint race

    Paes took to Twitter to show off his medal and certificate.

    Paes expectedly came in first place in the parents’ sprint for men.
    Leander Paes called time on his international tennis career, revealing that 2020 will be his final year on the pro-circuit. While he hasn’t announced what retirement holds in store, the new year has already begun in bright fashion. Last week saw a parents’ sports day at daughter Aiyana’s school. And, while other parents may feel aggrieved at having to go up against one of India’s finest athletes, Paes expectedly came in first place in the parents’ sprint for men.

    Taking to Twitter to show off his shiny medal and certificate, Paes said, “Have won a few medals over the years, but gold in the fathers’ race is right up there. Proud to be repping Lion House (sic),” he tweeted.
