Google on Saturday marked renowned Persian mathematician Omar Khayyam's 971st birth anniversary with a doodle. Khayyam was a Persian mathematician, poet, philosopher, astronomer. He has known for his work on cubic equations as well as his contribution to the parallel axiom. Omar Khayyam born on May 18, 1048 in Nishapur in north-east Iran. He is remembered for the creation of the Jalali calendar, Pascal's triangle discovery. He passed away on December 04, 1131 at the age of 83.
