On Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary, India gets a special gift from Dominican Republic
The Embassy of Dominican Republic released a postal stamp to mark Gandhi's birth anniversary.

The embassy tweeted on Wednesday that they plan to release a Gandhi postal stamp. On the Twitter handle, it said, "Proud to announce the release of the postal stamp in the Dominican Republic on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Indian homeland".

The Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan also took to Twitter to that the Dominican Republic Foreign Minister Miguel Vargas Maldonado for honouring the 'father of India'. He further added that Mahatma Gandhi's concept of non-violence was influential in Caribbean as well.
