It's been the year of big Rajasthan weddings. On the heels of the elegant celebration of HDFC chairman Deepak Parekh's son Siddharth's wedding at Umaid Bhavan in Jodhpur, Britannia's former MD, Sunil Alagh also hosted his younger daughter, Anjori's wedding in Jaipur.

Anjori got married earlier this month to long-time friend, year-long boyfriend, Rohit, son of Supreme steel owner Ashok Goyal. The celebrations started with a dhol night at the groom's house in Delhi on December 4, before moving to Jaipur.

The sangeet ceremony took place at Samode Palace on December 7 and the wedding at Samode Bagh, the next day. Post wedding, the newly-weds headed to Udaipur, spending three days at the Oberoi Udaivilas.

Currently in Goa, for a bit of R&R post the hectic wedding season, the couple will ring in the New Year in Delhi. Anjori told ETPanache that she has known her husband for eight years. "Last year, both of us were in London and decided to catch up. Even after we got back, we stayed in touch," says Anjori.

Delhi-based Rohit, who is in the steel manufacturing business, has factories in Silvasa. Work brought him to Mumbai often enough, giving the two a chance to spend time together. Anjori, who takes after her mother, actor Maya Alagh, has dabbled in movies. But now her focus is primarily the home furnishings and accessories online portal, that she runs with her elder sister, Sanvari, married to media boss Sameer Nair.

The couple will split their time between Delhi and Mumbai . "We'll be based out of both cities. I'd love to spend time in Delhi, during all the festivals and enjoy the winter there," says Anjori. Ringing in the new year in the biting cold of Delhi may be a start.
