Rohan Sharma, MD, RK Jewellers, remembers his favourite suits and why he admires Cristiano Ronaldo’s fashion game.

    Go-to suit

“The three-piece because it’s timeless yet versatile. You can go classic with a solid colour or if you want to be playful, you can add a contrasting waist-coat. It goes well with or without a tie and you make a classy statement wherever you go. For me, a royal blue suit with a contrasting waistcoat is a no-brainer. My favourite is a blue pinstriped suit from Burberry.”

    First suit
“I wore a black custom-stitched suit to my school farewell and it will always be special to me. I felt like I had stepped into adulthood that day, even though I was only 17.”

    Wedded bliss
“I think I looked the best in a suit at my wedding. I wore a tuxedo paired with patent black oxford shoes.”

    Style tip
“Get your suits custom-stitched and dry-clean them; they shouldn’t be washed at home. Hang them in zipped bags with silica sachets, especially during the monsoon.”

    Slim lines
“I really like Cristiano Ronaldo’s slim fit suit game. He chooses to wear solid colours, which go with his personality.”

    Signature element
“A gold and diamond tie pin and my zodiac sign-inspired custom-made cufflinks that my sister designed for me.”

    Suits and sneakers
“I like to keep things classy and I feel sneakers with a suit become a silent cry for attention rather than a solid statement.”
