Sennheiser CX 6.0Bt review: Now maintain a simultaneous connection with two devices
Sennheiser has designed something that’s mostly made of plastic but doesn’t feel cheap.
Price: Rs 7,490
The first thing that strikes you when pick up these Bluetooth earphones is how light they are. Sennheiser has designed something that’s mostly made of plastic but doesn’t feel cheap. You wear the cable around the neck and there’s a way to adjust it to fit snugly. You get an in-line 3-button remote, micro USB charging port and four sizes of ear adapters in a nice hard plastic carry case. The charging port is covered with a rubber flap but there’s no official IP certification on this one.
The audio doesn’t have loud thumping bass but a well-balanced output. It has clear highs and mids with a SPL that doesn’t get dangerously high. For a better fit, you should try out the different size ear tips. It should fit snug inside the ear canal for the best sound. You’ll know the fit is good when it also passively blocks out a large part of ambient sound.
What it does really well is maintain a simultaneous connection with two of your devices. This is still a rarity with wireless earphones. You can be watching a video on one device but if you get a call on another connected device, the video will pause (and auto-resume when the call ends). Another nice touch is the battery strength display on the phone (works on both iOS and Android) plus the voice prompts. You’ll get a total of six hours of listening on a full charge. If you’re in a hurry, a quick 10 minute charge will give you two hours of audio.
