Start-up & fashion: Biggies put their best foot forward
The Jio ET Startup Awards was all about the biz, but there was a heavy dose of fashion on the patterned carpet.
These guys do everything differently. Including the way they dress. With nearly all the attendees ditching the tie and opting for a more casual dressing approach their message was loud and clear — we're here to make some changes. Like their business models, these guys are not following norms. They are calling the shots and yes, saying goodbye to restrictive and outdated "rules".

A large portion of the crowd were sporting checked shirts under their blazers and bandis. While some, like Akash Ambani, played it safe with a neutral and traditional check, others like Kunal Bahl showcased their fun side with bright colours. Playing up the pattern like pros, these guys are telling the world that they're mixing it up and ready to have some fun, especially the littlest attendee, Ritesh Arora's toddler son Vedant.
White, the colour of the night
And then, there were those who stuck to the uniform — a white shirt. This classic look never goes out of style even if it may get a tad boring. Sticking to white creates a wholesome image, underscoring the image of a man of status. Clean, sharp and bright, you can never really go yawn with this neutral hue. Oops — we meant wrong.
