Indra Nooyi has been a trailblazing motivator for thousands of women worldwide. But who does she look up to for inspiration? The former PepsiCo. CEO recently posted a tribute to Martin Luther King Jr., and it makes for inspiring reading. “The power of his words was unmatched — he used them to inspire communities and movements, reshaping history,” she wrote.

In particular, she focussed on King’s 1967 speech ‘What is your life’s blueprint’: “Don’t just set out to do a good job. Set out to do such a good job that the living, the dead or the unborn couldn’t do it any better.” Speaking of the speech’s impact on her, she wrote on LinkedIn, “He reminds us that we can achieve anything we set our minds to, so long as we believe that we are capable and worthy. This speech has a profound impact on me — it is something I return to time and again as a blueprint for my own life. The words are just as true today as so many years ago. Whatever it is that we choose to do and aspire to be, we should strive to be the best version of that self,” she added.
