Vienna seems to have developed a taste for big bang Indian weddings. Last year, it was JSW scion, Parth Jindal’s nuptials that rang through the Austrian capital. This year it is the turn of Madrid based businessman, Harish Fabiani’s family’s turn. Fabiani’s nephew, Navin got married to Dubai-based Sonam Vaswani (daughter of Sunil Vaswani of Stallion Group and one of the richest Indians in the Gulf).

It is a wedding that has everyone talking, not just because of the scale of the celebrations but also thanks to the glittering guest list the families have managed to put together. Sanjay and Anusuya Hinduja, Natasha Poonawalla (wife of Adar Poonawalla), Samyukta Nair of the Leela Group of Hotels and Sid Mallya were spotted enjoying the festivities.

Guests, who’d flown in from around the world, received a booklet with customised water colour illustrations to familiarise themselves with the rituals. It’s the finer touches which count.
