NEW DELHI: After a month-long struggle with his film 'PM Narendra Modi', actor Vivek Oberoi has courted another controversy, this time on Twitter.

The actor was slammed by celebrities for posting a meme, mocking Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan and her relationships. He captioned the image, "Haha! creative! No politics here....just life (sic)".

The joke didn't go down well with Twitterati.

While actress Sonam Kapoor found the meme 'disgusting', badminton star Jwala Gutta expressed disappointment with a reply to the tweet.

Many fans found the tweet crass, and requested the actor to delete the post.

From the time of upload, the post has got over 6000 retweets and 24,000 likes.

Although it was never official, the rumours suggested that the 'Saathiya' actor and the former Miss World were in a relationship in 2003. It was around the same time Rai and Salman Khan had broken up.
