iPhone SE goes on sale at Rs 38,900, Flipkart offers Rs 3,600 discount

While the original price is Rs 42,500, but the offers on the device will make it available at Rs 38,900.

NEW DELHI: It's official! Apple's new device launched this year is finally will go on sale today at 12 pm. Fans can buy the newly-launched iPhone with a special offer by HDFC Bank.

While the much-awaited smartphone was originally priced at Rs 42,500, iPhone SE (64GB) is exclusively available on the e-commerce website Flipkart at Rs 38,900.

The creative on the Cupertino-based company and etailer's websites show that consumers can avail an inclusive, instant cashback of Rs 3,600 on purchase of the device using HDFC Bank debit and credit cards.

As the government gets ready to introduced new set of rules for the fourth phase of lockdown to fight against coronavirus pandemic, it is not known by when will the devices ordered online be delivered or by when they will be available in offline stores.

The affordable second-generation iPhone SE was launched last month on April 16 to attract the Android mid-segment users. It is expected to be available in three storage variants - 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, and in three colour options - Black, White and (PRODUCT) Red.

Apple's new offering comes with a 4.7-inch Retina HD display and Touch ID for industry-leading security. It also features the familiar Home Button designed with sapphire crystal for durability and protection to the sensor, and a steel ring to detect a user's fingerprint for Touch ID.

The successor of iPhone SE is powered by the Apple's fastest chip, A13 Bionic, and sports an aerospace-grade aluminum and durable glass design with an all-black front.

It packs the best single-camera system ever in an iPhone with a 12MP f/1.8 aperture Wide camera, and uses the image signal processor and Neural Engine of A13 Bionic to unlock computational photography, including Portrait mode, all six Portrait Lighting effects and Depth Control.

The smartphone is wireless-charging capable with Qi-certified chargers and also supports fast-charging, giving customers up to 50 per cent charge in just 30 minutes.

It comes with Dual SIM with eSIM provides the flexibility for users to have two separate phone numbers on a single device while traveling abroad or for use as a business line.

Earlier a few news reports suggested that a Chennai-based supply chain solutions provider Redington India will sell the latest smartphone at over 3,500 retail locations across the country.

After the launch of the iPhone SE 2020 in April, Apple had stopped selling iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus. While people can't buy iPhone 8 Plus now from Apple anymore, the company is apparently allowing some of its retail partners to continue stocking and offering the iPhone 8 Plus, till the time iPhone SE 2020 reaches them.
