Jeff Bezos got clicked at the MET Gala with the Kardashians
When you’re the richest man in the world, it’s fine if you don’t follow the dress code to one of the most highly anticipated events of the year.

At the 2019 MET Gala, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos made an appearance and was photographed with celebrities such as reality multi-millionaires Kim Kardashian, her musician husband Kanye West, and Kim’s sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. While the K-clan dressed in a nod to this year’s ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’ theme, Bezos kept it simple in a classic black tuxedo by fashion designer Tom Ford.

While Bezos attended the event without his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez, the two did make time for a date night the previous evening. They were spotted together for the first time since news broke of their romance in January, at a NYC restaurant where they ate pizza and burgers. Their relationship first came a few days after Bezos and his ex-wife MacKenzie, 48, announced they were separating after 25 years of marriage and four children together.

The 2019 Met Gala saw stars bring their best fashion game to the pink carpet keeping in theme with this year's theme 'Camp: Notes on Fashion'. The theme was inspired by a seminal 1964 essay by American author Susan Sontag in which she describes the phenomenon as something that shan't be talked about: "To talk about Camp is therefore to betray it."

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, whose yearly bash welcomes over-the-top looks based on a theme, saw pink and gold, trains, fringe and fur as the gala kicked off in New York City.

Singer Lady Gaga, Gucci designer Alessandro Michele, British singer Harry Styles and tennis superstar Serena Williams joined Vogue editor Anna Wintour in co-chairing the event, which raises money for the Costume Institute.
