SRK manages to impress not just fans but international celebrities as well. Be it Angelina Jolie at IIFA Awards in 2000 or Lady Gaga at an interview in 2012, the actor knows how to make a mark.

And now, American talk-show host David Letterman is the latest addition to this list. Appearing on Letterman’s talk show, ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction’, SRK was quick to win him over.

Having stayed away from the screen since his last outing, ‘Zero’, SRK’s appearance on the show was termed by many as his ‘Diwali release’.

The candid tete-a-tete between the two men was full of candour and humorous banter. The episode also showed the superstar’s vulnerable side as he talked about his mother, the loss of his parents and how he fell in love with Gauri Khan.

Needless to say, everyone on Twitterverse appreciated the actor for being his usual fun self, and the episode was an instant hit with fans.

#AskSRK With Copious Amounts Of Humour

Not that SRK’s wit and humour needs validation, but every now and then, the man hosts a Twitter QnA called #AskSRK where he answers questions asked by his fans. Just another opportunity for die-hard SRK fans get a glimpse of just how funny the megastar is.

In a recent #AskSRK session, hosted a day before he dropped the trailer of his appearance on Letterman’s show, the ‘Don’ star was asked by a fan, “I want to bite your lips, can I? #asksrk”

Adding some humour to the comment, Khan responded, “No I haven’t brushed my teeth yet.”

Such responses are a regular feature of social media sessions that SRK hosts. Not only does he respond to all the love (often over the top) from fans with wit, but also has funny comebacks from to questions that may borderline on offensive.

SRK has donned the producer’s hat for quite a while now, but in the age of OTT platforms, could the star be left behind? Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment tied up with Netflix India to produce a number of original series with ‘Bard of Blood’ - starring Emraan Hashmi, Shobhita Dhulipala and Kirti Kulhari - being the first one.

While Khan himself was missing from the show, he did make an appearance in some of the promotional videos of the series, much to the delight of fans.
Bringing out his creative side, the superstar worked with the team on crafting several important characters, including that of Kirti Kulhari, and also gave feedback for the storyline.

What Next?

Nearly a year since ‘Zero’ failed to impress, the actor has reportedly found a script that’s won his heart. After a sabbatical of 11 months, Khan is reportedly set to return to the big screen with Tamil director Atlee. While there is no confirmation from either of them on the news, rumour mills have been buzzing, and trade analyst Ramesh Bala had confirmed the news in a now-deleted tweet.

If reports are to be believed, the film will be titled ‘Sanki’.
