NEW DELHI: The world was eagerly waiting for the new 5G-enabled Mi 10 on Friday.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi took the wraps off its flagship smartphone with features like 108MP quad-camera setup, UHD 8K video recording and fastest 30W wireless charging.

The smartphone sports a 6.67-inch Curved E3 AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the 2.84GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with Adreno 650 GPU.

The device packs a quad-rear camera setup with a 108MP main camera, 13MP wide-angle lens and a pair of 2MP cameras. In the front camera, it has 20MP camera sensor. The phone houses a 4,780 mAh battery with 10W reverse wireless charging support.

However, despite its amazing features, the Xiaomi fans were not impressed with the new smartphone, thanks to its expensive price tag. The phone was priced at Rs 49,999 (8GB + 128GB), and Rs 54,999 (8GB + 256GB).

Within hours of the launch, several people took to Twitter to express their disappointment, and MIUI, Mi 10 and OnePlus started tending on the micro-blogging site. Most people started comparing the price tag, features and performance of OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro with the newly-launched phone.

Last month on April 14, OnePlus unveiled the flagship 8 Series in its first online-only launch event. OnePlus 8 was launched in three storage variants - 6GB + 128GB at Rs 41,999, 8GB + 128GB at Rs 44,999 and 12GB + 256GB at Rs 49,999. OnePlus 8 Pro for 8GB + 128GB version will cost Rs 54,999, and 12GB + 256GB will be available at Rs 59,999.

Both devices - Oneplus 8/8Pro and Mi 10 - are available for purchase and pre-orders, respectively, on Amazon India along with other their respective websites.
