Former cricketer and revered left-hand batsman Yuvraj Singh rang in his 38th birthday, on Thursday. The cricket maestro, who played a key role in India’s victory at the 2007 ICC World T20 and 2011 ICC World Cup, was greeted by wishes from fans as well as former Team India mates on his special day.

Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh and VVS Laxman were among those who took to Twitter to share heartfelt wishes for the all-rounder.

The captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli, wished Yuvraj on his special day. 'Happy bday Paaji', Kohli wrote in a tweet.

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar wished a happy and a healthy life for Yuvi.

Cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir posted a picture of the duo on the field and wished the ‘prince’.

Yuvraj’s close friend and spin-bowler Bhajji shared a picture of the players unwinding at a restaurant, and wished the 38-year-old ‘all the happiness, love, and peace’.

Former Indian cricketer and now, a commentator, VVS Laxman, wrote “May you continue to prosper, inspire and have lots of fun”.

Cricketers Suresh Raina and Mayank Agarwal also sent out heartfelt wishes for the champion.

To mark his special day, International Cricket Council (ICC) tweeted a video of Yuvi hitting six sixes.

For those in need of a reminder, the video shows the incredible feat accomplished by Yuvi, where the all-rounder made a record by hitting six sixes in a single over bowled by Stuart Broad at the 2007 ICC T20 Cup. Yuvi’s fabulous performance that day had played a clinical role in India’s victory.

Also wishing Yuvraj, were the official Twitter handles of Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI), Mumbai Indians and SunRisers Hyderabad.

Yuvraj has played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils.

Cricketer Virender Sehwag penned a witty tweet to wish Yuvi. "When the going gets tough, Yuvi gets going," wrote Sehwag.

Cricketer Mohammad Kaif, too, sent out a tweet, urging Yuvraj Singh to always stay in high spirits, writing 'Yuvi chala chal rahi'.

Needless to say, Yuvraj Singh has been a true champion, on and off the field.

Wishing the all-rounder a very happy birthday.
