Women-only tours are on the rise in India and recently actress Fatima Sana Shaikh travelled to Macao to experience the various offerings that the fascinating destination had to offer for independent women travellers. Fatima visited various attractions and enjoyed the gastronomical, historical and cultural diversity that the city has to offer. She visited some of the iconic monuments of Macao like the UNESCO heritage site Ruins of St. Paul’s, one of the oldest religious site A-Ma Temple and 3,700-square metre public plaza at the Historic Center of Macao called Senado Square.

Fatima indulged her taste buds and enjoyed the famous Portuguese egg tarts and fine dining meal at the Michelin starred Indian restaurant Golden Peacock.



The actress also pampered herself with a spa session and enjoyed a shopping spree at various boutique shops and branded stores located across the city. Moreover, showcasing her daredevil side, she bravely attempted the AJ Hackett Skywalk at a height of 233 metres/ 764 feet high at the Macau Tower.

Macao is a safe destination, making it ideal for solo or group women travellers. It is known as the city of duality as tourists get to experience European as well as Asian culture and architecture in one destination.
