The Jazz India Circuit is the one-stop destination to hear the newest and most diverse acts in contemporary jazz. Just as it has done for so many years, the Jazz India Circuit brings the best of modern jazz to Goa. Experimental, up-tempo, funky and daring, jazz has always been at the cutting edge of what’s possible, and this year is no different. Offering an unbelievable lineup of eclectic artistes and celebrated performers, this edition will see high-energy Canadian band 'The Shuffle Demons' showcase their signature genre with bending, visually entertaining and funny compositions.
Acclaimed singer and songwriter Macha Gharibian will create an elegant blend of jazz, folk and pop with the terrific Macha Gharibian Trio. Described as ‘one of the most important musicians of his generation’, virtuoso guitarist par excellence, Simon Thacker will bring his pioneering guitar style to India for the first time ever. Karan Khosla & Co. will bring together seasoned jazz musicians from Goa and across India to play an authentic jazz set that spans the gamut of the jazz idiom, from bebop to contemporary.
International Sand Art Festival 2019

Held at the Chandrabhaga Beach, 3 km from Konark, the International Sand Art Festival is an event for those lovers of art and outdoors. The International Sand Art Festival is a remarkable cultural event held by the Odisha Tourism Department. It highlights the beauty of the coasts of Odisha. It seeks to celebrate the skillful artists who painstakingly create sane sculptures in the outdoors.
The event showcases not just the traditional sand sculptures but also a variety of exhibits. Expect sand, stone, bronze or wood sculptures created by skillful sand artists. The sand festival is free to visit for spectators. The International Sand Art Festival was started in 2015 on the Chandrabhaga beach as part of the Konark Dance Festival. Due to the proximity from Konark Sun Temple, both these events attract tourists from all over the world.
