    Havells India posts 27.55% yoy rise in Q3 net profit at Rs 152.97 cr

    Synopsis

    Operating profit of the company increased 2.74 per cent to Rs 162.85 crore in Q3FY17 over Rs 158.51 crore in Q3F16.

    Net total income from operations of the company increased 13.31 per cent to Rs 1,622.07 crore for the quarter under review.

    NEW DELHI: Havells India on Tuesday reported a 27.55 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 152.97 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 against Rs 119.93 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

    Net total income from operations of the company increased 13.31 per cent to Rs 1,622.07 crore for the quarter under review. The company’s total income from operation stood at Rs 1,431.59 crore in the same quarter last year.

    Total outlay of the company also climbed 14.62 per cent to Rs 1,459.22 crore from Rs 1,273.08 crore during the same quarters.

    Shares of the company were trading 1.59 per cent down at Rs 372.20 in the afternoon trade around 2 pm. The scrip opened at Rs 381.40 and touched a high and low of Rs 386.80 and Rs 372.10, respectively, in trade so far. Benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 74.82 points, or 0.27 per cent, down at 27,215.05.
