Alok Oberoi joins Everstone as executive chairman

Alok has spent over 14 years at Goldman Sachs, led Goldman Sachs’ Wealth Management business in Asia.

Mumbai: The private equity fund Everstone Group has hired former Goldman Sachs executive Alok Oberoi as executive chairman.

Alok who spent over 14 years at Goldman Sachs, led Goldman Sachs’ Wealth Management business in Asia and subsequently also ran it Internationally as Head of International Private Wealth Management. Post Goldman Sachs, Alok was the co-founder & chairman of ACPI, a multi-family office and wealth management business based in London which he has since exited. Alok has also been a shareholder of Everstone since its inception and has served as a Director as well as an active member of its various Investment Committees.

In his new role, Alok will drive the Group’s overall strategy and governance while he will continue to serve on the investment committees. He will be based out of Singapore.

With a focus on India and South East Asia, Everstone has assets in excess of $5 billion across private equity, real estate, green infrastructure and venture capital.
